These are a list, with descriptions, of classes in theatre arts we offer here. Feel free to read and see if they would be something you would be interested in. All classes take place in the Black Box theater with occasional class taking place in the Auditorium theater.
Theatre Arts I and II comes in two sections in two semesters. The first semester is Acting. The student will learn theater terms, rules, conventions, places, and brief history. From there the student will move to improvisation, one and two person scenes, games, vocabulary and application. With Body Control and Vocal Control the student will learn how to use their body and voice to convey character, power, weakness, and everyday use to not harm your body or voice. Students end the semester in learning emotional control on how to properly convey character depth and perform a monologue and scene.
In Semester Two the student learns about stage craft. They learn elements of design. Starting with color, texture, light, and theatre architecture. Students will create costume designs and learn how design becomes a reality. They will learn light theory and how fractal color mixes (unlike pigment) on stage or on costumes. After they will learn the basics of construction and design for sets and the history of set construction. All portions of this class come with safety rules and regulations that will be given and the student is expected to follow.

Advanced Theatre is the practice and study of styles, techniques, methods, theories, and applications of acting, directing, writing, designing, constructing, and performing of theatre. This is a discipline; an academic area of art and science. It was the first form of Public Education. Each and every student in this class will improve their skills through the process of reading, writing, design, directing, and acting by discussing, listening, informing, reacting, or performance. There is extensive reading as we have three texts and research on the internet or in the library is necessary and the first obvious answer is not acceptable, multiple answers is always best and multiple reasons for those answers.
There are fourteen areas of historic perspective that we will study. Reports, renderings, dioramas, music cd's, portfolios, powerpoint presentations, symposiums, joint rehearsals, and performances will be given by each student and evaluated by each as well as the teacher. Knowledge as to the purpose, method, theories, reasons, processes, disciplines, psychologies, possible effects, and causes of a style of theatre will be reflected upon. The purposes of theatre in our society will also be investigated.

Film Study is a comprehensive study of what make a film communicate. How it communicates, it's language, its vocabulary, it's syntax, and its grammar. What the methods of story and stimulation are. Where The process is concieved, developed, filmed, edited, put together, and delivered. Who is in charge of what part of the process. Where it he ideas are developed and processed.

science of film making. One of the most prominent processes of our American society which continues to spread world wide especially with the computer and visual age.. Between 9 and 12 films will be view, analyzed, discussed, and tested on. A student of the literature one reads should also be improved as well as the understanding of film making and critiquing.
